[National Champs Update] Bronze for James Talbot and Strong Row from Eoghan!

Events, Updates
A huge congratulations to James Talbot for securing a Bronze medal in the PR3 Men’s 1x earlier this afternoon! James had a hard-fought race to secure a podium finish close behind Mac Russell (Qld) and Jed Altschwager (SA) to put BRC onto the medal count in the 2018 Champs. James will be racing tomorrow in the PR3 Mixed double with partner Nikki Ayers, who also finished 3rd in her own PR3 W1x race moments ago, before racing in a composite PR3 4+, sprints PR3 1x and as NSW’s representative at the Interstate…

Monday Meet-The-Rower
James Talbot is classified as a PR3 rower and joined the program in 2016. He has been targeted as an athlete for Tokyo 2020 Paralympics having taken part in several Rowing Australia training camps and was selected for the Rowing Australia Head of the Yarra boat. We  expect him to very soon be awarded a scholarship which will enable him to continue training at the elite level while being able to access the needed physiotherapy and additional supports elite rowers require to be able to deliver their best and at the highest standard.  His latest honour has him in serious preparation for the Interstate races at the 2018 Rowing Australia National Championships. James' race will be on Sunday 25 March (though he, Kevin, Ruby and Matilda, as well as Eoghan from Liam's Open Men's squad in the MU21Lwt categories) will be racing through the previous week.
