The best way to celebrate the end of a hard year and the worry of whether Santa Claus will drop those dreaded coal bricks or sparkling diamonds down one’s chimney is to have a jolly good knees up where all worries are cast aside and drowned in a sea of bubbles and friends.
Thanks to Meg, planner extraordinaire, we had a fantastic night of fun, food and friends with over 36 of our squad, family members and friends rocking up to the Three Weeds, a fully disabled-compliant watering hole in the heart of Balmain. Thanks Three Weeds for being up to date and aware that not everyone can access stairs; that inclusion means all have the same ability to enjoy a night out and not feel different and that inclusion doesn’t mean being made to feel different or relying on others in order to use basic facilities such as toilets.
Meg negotiated a great menu and we had a superb array of Christmas fare, unending drinks and the laughs and smiles lasted far longer than the evening.
Very special thanks to the squad for their presentation of gifts to the coaches. Every one of the coaches was present and every one of them was touched by the thoughtfulness of the squad.
A few snaps of the evening……..
Just some of the happy attendees !
Smiles definitely run in this family!
