END OF SEASON WRAP UP

coaching, Events, presentations, Sunday Thanks, Updates
The 2017-18 rowing season was a successful one for the Program. We began the season with the aim of building on our points success from last season while also building members and ensuring programming covered the goals of each athlete. Our coaching numbers have also increased and our fundraising has been spectacular and pleasing. It’s a healthy exercise to review the season and to see where we hit our set mark and where we fell short and then for the coming season to refocus and try and hit those missed marks and meet the new ones. Ruby raced for PLC Croydon but did all her training under the watchful eyes of her coaches at the Balmain Para Program. Ruby trained hard for this race and for the last few months spent early mornings on the river before school and when the weather stopped that on-water work she happily jumped on the erg and worked intensely.  Her training was aimed at having Ruby at her peak for the race and at her peak she was. Her hard work, dedication and intense training regime paid off and not only did she win but did so bettering her PB by 23 seconds. The raceplan was simple and Ruby…
